The Food Safety and Occupational Safety Associate Specialist will be responsible for the overall safety standards and guidelines for all the managed services that Aramark provides to the client. This includes multiple sites including but not limited to: Cafeteria with multiple stations including outside vendors, coffee bars, catering event and catering prep kitchens, Pantry and break room amenities, 24/7 micro markets, executive dining boardroom services and associated kitchen. The position is responsible for servicing and/or maintaining a physical location or site to client specifications.  Leads the operations of facility accounts by ensuring areas of responsibility meet objectives and client expectations.

 

COMPENSATION: The salary rate for this position ranges from $73,500 - $80,000, depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting. 

Job Responsibilities

Safety standards will be set in accordance with the governing NYC Department of Health regulations as well as Aramark?s guidelines and any client requirements that may be subject to change. These standards will be assessed by multiple 3rd party auditors and the safety specialist will be the main liaison with the auditors, ensuring the team is in compliance and managing action plans and training where needed to meet standards.

 

Specifically for the NYC Department of Health inspections, the site holds multiple permits that cover the different sites that the city will inspect at any given time. The safety specialist is responsible to ensure all sites are in compliance with the DOH guidelines at all times.

 

The Safety Specialist will work with the on-site management team to ensure compliance is met at all times. This includes but is not limited to: creating action plans after each audit, creating SOPs to ensure consistency in compliance, training staff and vendors on guidelines and best practices, working with the building facilities management for compliance of standards not managed directly by Aramark, and conducting regular audits of all spaces to ensure we are compliant at all time.

Qualifications

?    Requires at least 3 years of experience in healthcare environmental services
?    Requires up to 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role preferred
?    Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
?    Model key leadership behaviors and ensure the highest levels of safety, quality and service excellence for employees, clients and consumers
